* Work flexibly under a hybrid model from Surry Hills
* Opportunities to advance your career as the company grows
* Impactful and rewarding role helping improve the health outcomes of Aussie men & women
G’day, we’re Mosh | Moshy
Our mission is to get Aussies the best possible health outcomes through best-in-class health programs. We know the current healthcare system isn’t meeting the needs of the modern Australian, and we believe there’s a better, more holistic way. Our solutions for hair loss, sexual health, skin care, mental health, and weight management are easy, affordable, and completely discreet.
More than a job
There’s nothing better than the feeling that what you’re doing matters and makes a difference. We’re pretty lucky this is the norm and not the exception for us.
You’ll join a small, senior data team and own the data that marketing and growth decisions at Mosh | Moshy rest on. That starts with the models behind our marketing attribution and growth reporting, and extends to working with product, engineering, finance, medical operations and customer support to define metrics and build the data they need. By keeping our pipelines and warehouses robust and performant, you’ll empower stakeholders to make timely, data-informed decisions and ultimately help Aussies get the best health outcomes possible.
Everyone on the team works hands-on, so you’ll build and own your own work. We want a builder: someone who spots what’s missing, proposes a fix and ships it. You don’t need to tick every box below. What matters most is that you’re solution oriented, careful with detail, and ask what the business needs before jumping into analysis.
What you’ll do
On a day to day basis you will:
- Build and own the dbt models and Looker (LookML) layer behind marketing attribution and our core acquisition, retention and revenue reporting.
- Work closely with our Marketing team, and alongside medical operations, product, customer support and finance, to define success for new initiatives and turn complex data into clear insights that drive decisions.
- Craft clear data stories for non-technical stakeholders, from campaign performance to customer behaviour trends, and partner with leadership to frame the right questions and connect findings to business outcomes.
- Bridge data and engineering: work with product and engineering to deeply understand our platform and make sure the data reflects the essence of our business processes.
- Define the metrics that let us track our progress against OKRs and targets, and document each one: how the business process works and how the logic is built.
- Act as our subject matter expert in BI, setting high standards for well-documented, well-structured SQL and LookML models and educating business users on the data.
- Set data standards for governance, including PII and health data handling and group and role access policies, and keep DAG performance, cost and scalability in check.
- Share knowledge so the team and business users can rely on self-service.
Experience you’ll bring
We’re looking for a builder who takes ownership of problems end to end and is comfortable with ambiguity. The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years in analytics engineering or data analytics, including time in a tech or product-led business, with examples of work that changed a business decision
- Experience working with marketing teams on analytics products, including attribution. You think in terms of acquisition, retention and revenue, and a growth background is a plus
- Clear written and verbal communication: you simplify the complex for a diverse range of audiences, and your documentation habit lets best practice scale as the team grows
- Strong critical thinking: you turn raw data into meaningful recommendations, ask what the business needs before jumping into analysis, and spot which questions are worth answering, not just the ones asked
- Strong SQL and dbt experience. We work on Snowflake, Hevo, dbt, Looker and GitHub Actions, and experience with these tools is preferred
- Strong Looker and LookML experience
- Solid data modelling and transformation skills, and a systems view: you design for scale and anticipate edge cases
Experience that would be valuable
You don’t need to bring every one of these, but experience across any of the following would be highly regarded:
- Python and Jinja
- Machine learning or regression modelling
- Experience managing a data platform, including CI/CD, automated testing, orchestration and monitoring
- Experience in digital healthcare or telehealth
- Experience with highly regulated products
