About Us

We are a globally focused organization committed to delivering reliable valuation, financial analysis, investment oversight, and risk-management capabilities across diverse markets and asset classes.

Our teams collaborate across Investment Management, Valuation, Finance, Risk, Accounting, Treasury, Operations, Compliance, Tax, and external advisers to establish robust valuation practices, support informed investment decisions, and maintain accurate financial reporting.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Asset Valuation Specialist to lead and oversee valuation activities across investment portfolios, financial assets, real assets, and other complex investments.

The ideal candidate will combine strong valuation expertise, financial analysis, market knowledge, and technical judgment to determine appropriate asset values, review valuation methodologies, assess market inputs, challenge third-party valuations, support financial reporting, and ensure valuation processes are consistent, transparent, well-controlled, and compliant with applicable requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement asset valuation policies, methodologies, procedures, and control frameworks.
  • Lead valuation activities across assigned investment portfolios and asset classes.
  • Perform independent valuation analysis for financial and non-financial assets.
  • Review valuation methodologies and determine appropriate approaches based on asset characteristics, market conditions, and available information.
  • Apply market, income, cost, and other appropriate valuation approaches where relevant.
  • Perform valuation analysis for equities, fixed-income securities, funds, derivatives, structured products, private investments, real estate, infrastructure, and other applicable assets.
  • Review market prices, broker quotes, observable market inputs, and independent pricing sources.
  • Assess the reliability, relevance, and consistency of market data used in valuation processes.
  • Analyze valuation inputs including interest rates, credit spreads, yield curves, volatility, foreign-exchange rates, discount rates, comparable-company data, and transaction multiples.
  • Perform discounted cash-flow, comparable-company, precedent-transaction, market-multiple, and other valuation analyses as appropriate.
  • Develop and review financial models used to value complex and illiquid assets.
  • Validate valuation models, assumptions, methodologies, formulas, and key inputs.
  • Conduct model sensitivity and scenario analysis to assess valuation impacts under different assumptions.
  • Review third-party valuations and assess their reasonableness and supporting methodologies.
  • Challenge valuation assumptions and investigate significant differences between internal and external valuations.
  • Perform independent price verification and valuation checks where required.
  • Investigate valuation movements, unusual price changes, and significant period-over-period fluctuations.
  • Analyze valuation gains and losses and identify the underlying market or asset-specific drivers.
  • Support fair-value hierarchy classification and documentation where applicable.
  • Assess the availability and quality of observable versus unobservable valuation inputs.
  • Support appropriate classification of assets according to applicable fair-value reporting requirements.
  • Maintain valuation adjustments, reserves, overlays, and other valuation-related accounting considerations where applicable.
  • Coordinate with Fund Accounting and Financial Reporting teams to ensure valuation outputs are accurately reflected in financial records.
  • Support NAV calculations and valuation processes for investment funds and portfolios.
  • Reconcile valuation data with custodians, administrators, brokers, portfolio-management systems, and accounting records.
  • Investigate and resolve valuation discrepancies, pricing breaks, and data-quality issues.
  • Establish valuation review thresholds and escalation procedures for significant valuation exceptions.
  • Monitor assets requiring enhanced valuation oversight due to illiquidity, complexity, limited market data, or heightened uncertainty.
  • Develop valuation approaches for private, unlisted, distressed, or otherwise difficult-to-value investments.
  • Review valuation assumptions for private investments, including revenue growth, margins, capital requirements, exit assumptions, discount rates, and comparable-company metrics.
  • Support valuation of real estate and infrastructure assets using appropriate market, income, discounted-cash-flow, and comparable approaches where applicable.
  • Evaluate valuations of complex financial instruments and structured investments.
  • Support derivative valuation and review valuation inputs, pricing models, and independent valuation sources.
  • Monitor changes in market conditions that may require valuation methodology or assumption updates.
  • Conduct periodic back-testing and retrospective reviews of valuation estimates where appropriate.
  • Perform valuation sensitivity analysis and document key valuation uncertainties.
  • Prepare valuation reports, valuation memoranda, analysis papers, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain detailed valuation workpapers, model documentation, assumptions, source data, approvals, and review evidence.
  • Ensure valuation processes are adequately documented, reproducible, and subject to appropriate review and approval.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing valuation methodologies, models, calculations, evidence, and explanations.
  • Respond to audit, regulatory, investor, and management queries relating to asset valuations.
  • Support regulatory examinations, valuation reviews, financial due diligence, and other independent assessments.
  • Work closely with Risk Management to identify valuation uncertainty, model risk, liquidity risk, and market-data risk.
  • Coordinate with Investment Management teams to understand portfolio positions, investment strategies, and asset-specific developments.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Operations, Compliance, and Legal teams on valuation matters.
  • Manage relationships with external valuation advisers, independent pricing providers, appraisers, auditors, and specialist consultants.
  • Review external valuation reports for methodology, assumptions, completeness, and consistency with internal requirements.
  • Monitor external valuation-provider performance, quality, independence, and delivery against agreed standards.
  • Establish valuation calendars and ensure all required valuations are completed within reporting deadlines.
  • Develop valuation dashboards and management reports covering valuation movements, exceptions, risks, and key assumptions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve valuation processes through automation, improved data sources, analytical tools, and standardized methodologies.
