The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Private Banking Specialist to manage and support sophisticated banking relationships for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.

The ideal candidate will combine strong private banking expertise with investment knowledge, relationship-management skills, financial analysis, credit understanding, and exceptional client service. The role will support clients across deposits, lending, investments, liquidity management, wealth structuring, and other customized financial solutions while ensuring all activities comply with applicable policies, regulatory requirements, and risk controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop relationships with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
  • Serve as a trusted banking contact for sophisticated private clients and their authorized representatives.
  • Understand client financial objectives, liquidity needs, investment preferences, risk tolerance, and long-term wealth goals.
  • Conduct comprehensive client reviews and identify opportunities to enhance banking and wealth-management relationships.
  • Develop personalized banking strategies aligned with client objectives and approved risk parameters.
  • Provide tailored solutions across deposits, cash management, lending, investments, foreign exchange, and wealth-management services.
  • Coordinate with investment specialists to provide appropriate investment solutions and portfolio services.
  • Support clients with investment products, structured investments, securities, funds, and other approved wealth-management solutions.
  • Coordinate with credit teams to structure and facilitate appropriate lending solutions for qualified clients.
  • Support Lombard lending, securities-backed lending, mortgages, real-estate financing, and other private banking credit facilities where applicable.
  • Analyze client financial information, assets, liabilities, liquidity, income, and repayment capacity.
  • Prepare and review financial information supporting credit applications and lending proposals.
  • Coordinate credit submissions, approvals, documentation, drawdowns, renewals, and ongoing facility monitoring.
  • Monitor client borrowing, collateral coverage, loan-to-value ratios, covenant requirements, and credit exposures.
  • Escalate material changes in collateral values, repayment capacity, client risk, or facility performance.
  • Support clients with deposit and liquidity-management solutions.
  • Analyze client cash balances, liquidity requirements, currency exposure, and anticipated cash flows.
  • Coordinate foreign-exchange transactions and currency-management solutions in accordance with approved products and client requirements.
  • Support international payments, transfers, and other private banking transactions.
  • Coordinate complex or high-value client transactions with Operations and relevant control functions.
  • Ensure client transactions are processed accurately, efficiently, and within applicable approval requirements.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of client relationships, financial circumstances, preferences, investment objectives, and service requirements.
  • Conduct regular client reviews and ensure client information remains accurate and current.
  • Identify opportunities to deepen relationships based on legitimate client needs and approved product suitability.
  • Collaborate with Wealth Management, Investment Advisory, Trust, Estate Planning, and other specialist teams where appropriate.
  • Coordinate with tax, legal, fiduciary, and external professional advisers where permitted and appropriate.
  • Support wealth-planning discussions while ensuring advice remains within the scope of applicable licenses, qualifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide clients with timely information regarding approved banking products, market developments, and relevant financial services.
  • Coordinate client access to research, investment specialists, market commentary, and portfolio-management resources.
  • Monitor client portfolios and banking relationships where portfolio oversight is part of the assigned mandate.
  • Review portfolio performance, asset allocation, liquidity, and risk information with relevant investment professionals.
  • Identify potential concentration, liquidity, credit, market, or suitability concerns and escalate appropriately.
  • Maintain strong awareness of client risk profiles and investment suitability requirements.
  • Ensure client recommendations and product proposals are consistent with approved suitability and appropriateness standards.
  • Complete required client documentation, account-opening materials, suitability assessments, and transaction records accurately.
  • Support onboarding of new private banking clients, including documentation, due diligence, account setup, and initial relationship planning.
  • Coordinate with Compliance and Financial Crime teams on KYC, AML, sanctions, source-of-wealth, and source-of-funds requirements.
  • Ensure client relationships are managed in accordance with applicable regulatory, tax, privacy, and internal policy requirements.
  • Escalate unusual transactions, financial-crime concerns, conflicts of interest, or other compliance issues through appropriate channels.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality over client financial information, personal information, transactions, and wealth structures.
  • Monitor client-service standards and resolve complex or sensitive service issues.
  • Coordinate with Operations to resolve transaction, account, payment, documentation, or reporting issues.
  • Manage client requests from initiation through completion and ensure appropriate follow-up.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal product specialists, external advisers, and approved service providers.
  • Participate in client meetings, portfolio reviews, wealth-planning discussions, and relationship-management activities.
  • Prepare client meeting materials, relationship reviews, financial summaries, and management reports.
  • Track client profitability, assets under management, deposits, lending exposure, product utilization, and relationship development.
  • Monitor revenue, fees, margins, and economic contribution associated with assigned relationships.
  • Develop and execute relationship-development plans focused on sustainable client value and retention.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-border banking and wealth solutions where permitted by applicable regulations.
  • Support family-office relationships and coordinate services across multiple family members or related entities where applicable.
  • Assist with succession, intergenerational wealth, and estate-planning coordination alongside qualified specialists.

Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate should have strong experience in private banking, wealth management, relationship banking, investment banking, premium banking, or financial advisory, preferably serving high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth clients within an international bank, private bank, wealth manager, family office, or sophisticated financial-services organization.

The candidate should demonstrate:

  • Proven experience managing high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of private banking products, services, and relationship-management practices.
