Senior C++ System & Networking Engineer

We are hiring on behalf of a reputable Ireland-based technology startup company, a Senior C++ Systems & Networking Engineer to develop and optimize advanced Linux networking platforms. This role offers remote flexibility with access to a shared office in Egypt for collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain high‑performance C++ networking/system components.
• Design asynchronous workflows using Boost.Asio, sockets, timers, and event‑driven state machines.
• Optimize packet transport, scheduling, buffer management, and multipath transmission.
• Diagnose and resolve network reliability, CPU efficiency, and memory issues.
• Profile and improve performance (CPU, memory, latency, throughput, packet loss).
• Develop unit, integration, and performance tests.
• Contribute to architecture and code reviews with focus on scalability and maintainability.

Required Experience

• 5+ years in modern C++ (C++17/20/23) for low‑level networking or systems programming.
• Strong knowledge of Linux networking, routing, traffic shaping, and QoS.
• Experience with asynchronous/multithreaded/event‑driven software (Boost.Asio or similar).
• Practical expertise in UDP, TCP, tunneling, or SD‑WAN systems.
• Skilled in profiling, instrumentation, and Linux diagnostic tools.
• Familiarity with CMake, Git, and Linux development environments.
• Ability to own complex technical problems and communicate design decisions clearly.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to Node.js backend (Express, REST APIs) and React front‑end development.
• Experience with Docker, containerized deployments, and reverse proxies.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL/MySQL and telemetry data handling.
• Familiarity with authentication/security (OAuth, JWT, rate limiting).
