  • Collaborate with procurement, accounts payable, finance, and data management teams to improve source data accuracy.
  • Prepare spend classification reports, dashboards, data quality assessments, and management presentations.
  • Monitor classification accuracy through periodic sampling, exception reviews, and reconciliation activities.
  • Support procurement analytics and spend visibility initiatives by providing structured and validated expenditure datasets.
  • Develop standardized procedures, quality controls, and documentation for ongoing spend classification activities.
  • Recommend improvements to procurement systems, classification workflows, automation rules, and reporting processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality and apply appropriate data governance controls when handling supplier, commercial, and financial information.
Qualifications and Experience

  • Professional certification in procurement, supply chain management, data analytics, or financial management is advantageous.
  • Significant experience in procurement analytics, spend analysis, category management, financial data classification, or procurement operations.
  • Strong understanding of procurement categories, direct and indirect spend, supplier segmentation, and purchasing processes.
  • Demonstrated experience classifying large volumes of purchasing and financial transaction data.
  • Knowledge of procurement taxonomies, category hierarchies, general ledger structures, and cost center mapping.
  • Experience analyzing purchase orders, invoices, supplier records, contracts, and expenditure reports.
  • Strong understanding of data quality management, classification standards, and master data governance.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookup functions, Power Query, and complex data analysis.
  • Experience with procurement platforms, ERP systems, spend analytics tools, and supplier management applications.
  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to identify patterns and inconsistencies in complex datasets.
