About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Revenue Leakage Investigation Specialist to identify, investigate, quantify, and help prevent revenue losses arising from billing errors, process weaknesses, contractual discrepancies, pricing inconsistencies, system configuration issues, and control failures. The role involves analyzing financial and operational data, tracing revenue transactions, identifying missed billing opportunities, and recommending corrective measures. Working remotely from the UAE, you will collaborate with finance, billing, sales, operations, technology, and internal audit teams to strengthen revenue assurance and improve financial performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed investigations into actual and potential revenue leakage across business operations.
  • Analyze revenue transactions, billing records, contracts, invoices, pricing schedules, and customer account data.
  • Identify discrepancies between services delivered, products supplied, contractual terms, and amounts billed.
  • Investigate underbilling, unbilled revenue, incorrect discounts, unauthorized adjustments, and missed charges.
  • Reconcile operational activity records with billing systems, general ledger entries, and revenue reports.
  • Examine revenue recognition processes to identify timing differences, omissions, and inconsistencies.
  • Analyze customer agreements, commercial terms, rate cards, and service-level commitments to identify billing gaps.
  • Investigate unusual revenue movements, transaction patterns, credit notes, refunds, and manual billing adjustments.
  • Use data analysis techniques to detect anomalies, recurring discrepancies, and potential revenue loss patterns.
  • Quantify identified revenue leakage and estimate financial exposure, recoverable amounts, and potential future losses.
  • Review billing workflows, system configurations, interfaces, and approval controls for weaknesses.
  • Investigate root causes of revenue leakage and distinguish isolated errors from systemic process failures.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to validate findings and obtain supporting documentation.
  • Develop revenue assurance reports, investigation summaries, and management dashboards.
  • Recommend corrective actions, control enhancements, and process improvements to prevent recurring losses.
  • Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of agreed remediation measures.
  • Establish standardized investigation procedures, reconciliation methods, and revenue assurance indicators.
  • Support periodic revenue reviews and targeted investigations based on risk assessments.
  • Maintain accurate records of findings, supporting evidence, calculations, and remediation outcomes.
  • Present investigation results and recommendations to senior finance and operational stakeholders.
  • Handle commercially sensitive information with discretion and maintain appropriate access controls.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting or audit qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent are advantageous.
  • Significant experience in revenue assurance, revenue leakage investigation, financial analysis, billing controls, internal audit, or commercial finance.
  • Strong understanding of revenue processes, billing cycles, invoicing, contract administration, and financial reconciliations.
  • Demonstrated experience identifying billing discrepancies, unrecorded revenue, pricing errors, and revenue control weaknesses.
  • Knowledge of revenue recognition principles and relevant financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience analyzing large transaction datasets and identifying irregularities or unusual patterns.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, lookup functions, pivot tables, and reconciliation techniques.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or other data analytics tools is desirable.
  • Experience working with ERP, CRM, billing, invoicing, and revenue management systems.
  • Ability to interpret contracts, pricing structures, service records, and commercial documentation.
  • Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to quantify financial exposure and develop evidence-based recommendations.
  • Excellent report-writing, documentation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
  • High attention to detail, professional skepticism, and sound judgment.
  • Ability to manage confidential financial information and multiple investigations independently.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
What We Offer
  • A fully remote, work-from-home position based in the UAE.
  • Competitive compensation aligned with experience and qualifications.
  • Opportunities to improve revenue protection, financial controls, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaboration with finance, commercial, technology, and audit professionals.
  • Professional development in revenue assurance, financial investigation, and data analytics.
