Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

Do you enjoy turning cloud infrastructure into well-organized, automated environments that development teams can use? Would you like to help build the private-cloud foundations for AI services delivered to public-sector organizations? Join a project for a Swedish public agency and take a hands-on role in establishing and developing a VCF organization within its private cloud. Bring your cloud engineering experience to a role combining platform configuration, infrastructure automation, and close collaboration with development and security teams.

Key responsibilities

• Establish, develop, and maintain a VCF organization within the Swedish public agency’s private cloud.
• Build and automate landing zones, tenant environments, and the cloud resource environments needed to support AI services.
• Configure organizational and project structures, networking, access permissions, policies, and resource governance.
• Develop and maintain operational and development environments in collaboration with platform providers, security teams, and development teams.
• Document technical solutions, share knowledge, and transfer expertise to internal employees.
• Contribute beyond your core technical area when needed to help the team solve problems and achieve its goals.

Ideal candidate profile

• At least 4 years of experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, or infrastructure automation.
• Hands-on experience establishing and automating landing zones, tenant environments, or equivalent environments on private or public cloud platforms.
• Experience configuring cloud organizational and project structures, networking, permissions, policies, and resource governance.
• Strong technical documentation skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with platform providers, security teams, and development teams.
• Strong communication in Swedish & English, teamwork skills, with a flexible approach and a willingness to contribute wherever support is most needed.
• Ideally, experience with VMware Cloud Foundation, VCF Automation, or VKS at the tenant and consumer level; private cloud; Infrastructure as Code and automated provisioning; AI/GPU infrastructure and GPU management, scheduling, and sharing; or platform delivery in security-sensitive or regulated environments.

Work Model: Hybrid – 3 days on-site per week
