About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Concurrency Debugging Specialist to identify, analyze, and resolve complex concurrency issues in software applications and distributed systems. The successful candidate will investigate race conditions, deadlocks, thread contention, and synchronization failures while improving application stability, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex concurrency defects, including race conditions, deadlocks, livelocks, and thread starvation.
• Analyze multithreaded, asynchronous, and concurrent applications to identify synchronization and execution issues.
• Develop debugging strategies and use profiling, tracing, logging, and diagnostic tools to investigate intermittent failures.
• Review source code to identify unsafe shared-state access, locking problems, and memory visibility issues.
• Optimize thread management, synchronization mechanisms, and concurrent task execution.
• Collaborate with software engineers, architects, and quality assurance teams to improve code reliability.
• Design and implement concurrency tests, stress tests, and reproducible test cases for difficult-to-detect defects.
• Investigate production incidents involving parallel processing, asynchronous workflows, and resource contention.
• Establish coding standards and best practices for thread safety, synchronization, and concurrent programming.
• Document root causes, corrective actions, debugging procedures, and recommendations to prevent recurring issues.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• At least 5–8 years of experience in software development, systems engineering, debugging, or performance optimization.
• Strong understanding of concurrency, multithreading, synchronization, parallel processing, and asynchronous programming.
• Practical experience with languages such as Java, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or Python.
• Familiarity with debugging and profiling tools, thread analyzers, performance monitors, and application tracing systems.
• Knowledge of operating system scheduling, memory models, locks, semaphores, mutexes, and atomic operations.
• Experience investigating concurrency issues in production systems and high-throughput applications.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and systematic problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with remote engineering teams.
