About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Memory Profiling Specialist to analyze memory usage, identify performance bottlenecks, and improve the efficiency and stability of software applications. The successful candidate will investigate memory leaks, excessive allocations, fragmentation, and garbage collection overhead while helping engineering teams build reliable, high-performance systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze application memory usage to identify leaks, excessive allocations, and inefficient memory management.
• Conduct memory profiling, heap analysis, and allocation tracking across development, testing, and production environments.
• Investigate memory-related performance issues, including high memory consumption, fragmentation, and unexpected application crashes.
• Evaluate garbage collection behavior, object lifecycles, caching strategies, and resource utilization.
• Use profiling tools, heap dumps, diagnostic traces, and performance monitoring systems to identify root causes.
• Collaborate with software developers and architects to optimize data structures, object allocation patterns, and memory-intensive processes.
• Develop memory performance benchmarks and automated tests to detect regressions.
• Recommend improvements to memory management practices, resource cleanup, and application architecture.
• Support incident investigations involving out-of-memory errors, latency spikes, and system instability.
• Document findings, optimization recommendations, technical standards, and best practices for memory-efficient software development.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 5–8 years of experience in software performance engineering, memory profiling, systems development, or application optimization.
• Strong understanding of memory allocation, heap and stack behavior, garbage collection, memory leaks, and resource management.
• Practical experience with programming languages such as Java, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or Python.
• Familiarity with profiling and diagnostic tools for memory analysis, heap inspection, and runtime performance monitoring.
• Experience analyzing memory behavior in multithreaded applications, backend services, or distributed systems.
• Knowledge of operating systems, runtime environments, data structures, and performance optimization techniques.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with distributed engineering teams remotely.
