Senior Construction Planner

Role Description The Senior Construction Planner will support planning and coordination of construction-related projects and initiatives for the Microsoft Student Club - SCU. This part-time, hybrid role is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with flexibility to complete some tasks from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing project plans and schedules, coordinating construction activities, and assisting with procurement and resource allocation. The role involves tracking project progress, maintaining project control documentation, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery of construction-related work. The Senior Construction Planner will also provide guidance to student team members, contribute to process improvement, and help align construction activities with club objectives and budget constraints.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Construction Planning and Construction skills to coordinate and oversee construction-related tasks and workflows.
• Candidates should possess Project Planning and Project Control skills to develop schedules, track milestones, and manage timelines and risks.
• Candidates should possess Procurement-related skills to support sourcing of materials, services, and vendors in alignment with project needs.
• Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with students, partners, and supervisors.
• Candidates should have strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a part-time, hybrid setting.
• Prior experience in construction management, civil engineering, or related fields, and familiarity with basic project management tools, is beneficial.
• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic or additional languages is an advantage.
