About the Data & AI team

We are building a small, hands-on team that makes Sharon AI faster and right the first time. Our job is to turn data and AI into outcomes the business can feel: bringing world-class AI capacity to customers faster, running the business with precision at scale, and getting things right early, when it counts most.

The Role

You are a senior builder across data and AI. You design and ship data pipelines, models and agents end-to-end, set the bar for code quality, and mentor other engineers. You take on complex, open-ended challenges and turn them into reliable, reusable components.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design and build ingestion, transformation and serving pipelines from internal systems and delivery partners into our lakehouse.

• Build agents and AI workflows on our governed platform: tool use, retrieval over structured and unstructured data, and orchestration.

• Build evaluation and observability into everything you ship so you can trace and audit every agent’s actions.

• Contribute to the core data model and the agent tool layer, building components once so many teams can reuse them.

• Lead technical design on initiatives, review code, and raise the team’s engineering standards.

• Work directly with business stakeholders to understand the process before you build.

• Mentor Data & AI Engineers.

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years in data or software engineering, with recent production work on AI or LLM systems.

• Strong Python and SQL, and hands-on experience with modern data tooling (e.g. Databricks, dbt, Spark, Kafka, Airflow or Fivetran) on a major cloud.

• Experience building with LLM APIs and agent frameworks, including tool use, retrieval and evaluation.

• Solid engineering practice: version control, CI/CD, testing and infrastructure as code.

• The judgment to choose the simplest thing that works, and to explain trade-offs to non-engineers.
