Senior Digital Product Manager
Reston, VA
Our client has an immediate job opportunity for a SAFe Certified Product Manager. The selected Product Manager will be working with the scrum team, scrum master, external and internal project stakeholders, and the management team on their digital product development effort. Develops and Implements strategy for the company's product line and is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the Product Lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision. Working with Product Owners, IT, and other stakeholders to prioritize product and customer requirements against the business strategy, product roadmap, and value drivers. Partners closely with engineering to ensure we deliver winning products that meet member needs. Oversees the product roadmap development process, ensuring it includes the UX, design teams, operations managers, engineering managers, and finance teams. Confirms project deadlines with support from the product owners and delivery team. To ensure the product development stages meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders. expectations. Also, provide timely and accurate communication of updates to the product's overall deployment. Reports on product performance using latent and predictive data to confirm that product performance meets high-reliability standards. Develops and aligns the Product Roadmap to strategic goals by working with customers, both internal and external, as well as Stakeholders to analyze and document both business and technology needs. Ensuring overall product success.
This position is a hybrid opportunity, requiring the selected candidate to come into the office (Reston VA) 1-2x per week. This position will also require 1-2 onsite/F2F interviews before selection.
Required Skills
Education Level: Bachelor's Degree - In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.
Must be SAFe Certified
Experience: 10+ years total experience, with the last 6 years previous years as a Product Manager with an in-depth knowledge of agile process and principles. Seeking a road-mapping/visionary Product Manager who can manage a portfolio of complex digital projects (3-5 product workstreams at one time)
At least two (2) AI-related product projects in the recent past is required. Must have strong AI product experience
Highly preferred: Healthcare Insurance/Payor background. If not the healthcare industry, it must be coming from a large IT organization
Product vs Strategy and execution expertise - Seeking Road Mapping / Visionary experience. Able to collaborate with Executives on larger, 2-3 year plans/visions
Google Analytics expertise - Expertise in the Google Analytics tool and understanding of the implementation of analytics
Aha tool experience
Career product evolution within the digital product tools and backend technology space. Seeking expertise in working on web portals, mobile apps, and back-end (web services, DB implementation), cloud migration, and any member-facing applications/platforms/mobile apps
Leading strategic and innovation idea creation and implementation
Mastery in holistic Product management lifecycle from discovery to post-implementation analytics. Managing demanding stakeholders in a complex work environment.
Must be able to effectively work in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities, deadlines, and workloads that can be variable for long periods of time

Hybrid - Onsite 1x per week in Reston, could be twice based on meetings.
Certifications: SAFe certification is required.
Product Manager position, with AI project experience, managing a portfolio of products (3-5), product MGT exp (aware of how the industry works/has worked with large tech organizations, can bring in new processes/procedures, visionary go-getter type of attitude), forward-thinking visionary is extremely important. Not just the executioner, they will form road maps and provide strategy. Understanding where gaps are in the team and strategizing how to fill those gaps.
AI has been introduced to their environment recently, must have an AI project. 15% of current products are AI-based, with more coming. Must have AI to assist with these products. Must have at least 2 or 3 AI projects.
The Google Analytics tool is required.
10+ years in the product space. Progression from Product Owner to Product Manager would be the ideal evolution. Should have at least 5-6 years as a product manager. Not looking for a product owner, this is a product manager position.
Day in the life of this hire: This role is in Member Services Platform (anything similar to member services would be great, from any industry). Helpful if they understand claims, benefits, and enrollment, they cater to Member Services specifically, so anything member services-related would be ideal.
Background in supporting a Mobile app product, for members, would be a HUGE plus (could be from any industry)
Product vision, product road mapping, and product high-level strategy is required.
Has created or worked in an environment where they LEAD the product strategy (road mapping, visionary level experience). Come up with the product strategy and what is the 3-5 vision for this hire, and the team needs to execute on.
Market research, data gathering, and analytics gathering are key.
Able to work with executives on road mapping
Able to define an entire strategy for a new product launch front-end platform
They have road maps already established, but they are consistently evolving as new technologies get introduced to the product.
Define examples of product vs strategy - Higher level road mapping/strategy/visionary versus in the weeds of product management.
Is the Aha tool required? - Any senior-level Product Owner should have this tool.
What is meant by "digital tools expertise"? - digital tools/products for them are their enrollment, benefits, and claims platforms for their members. Any sort of online portals (logging on to a website or mobile portal for member services) - Member-facing applications/portals.
