Senior Ecommerce CRO & Landing Page Lead

About Zabota:

Zabota is a top-ranked global recruitment firm, recognized as a Top HR Staffing Company by Clutch in 2025. We specialize in helping high-growth U.S. brands build elite, remote-first teams. Our mission is clear: Connect world-class talent from LATAM, Europe, and beyond with the most ambitious companies in the world.

About Our Client

Our client is a California-based industry-leading omnichannel marketing agency with owned e-commerce brands and agency clients in cannabis and high-risk, regulated industries. They specialize in paid media, high-converting creatives, landing pages, and full-funnel email and SMS systems, helping brands scale revenue while remaining compliant across major advertising platforms.

About the Role

We are hiring a senior e-commerce professional to take ownership of website launches, landing-page design, and conversion rate optimization across our owned brands and agency clients.

We need someone who understands DTC ecommerce, has strong design and commercial judgment, and can independently identify what needs to happen and get it done. This person should be comfortable making recommendations, directing developers, checking implementation, and following work through to completion without step-by-step founder direction.

The role has two primary responsibilities:

  1. Owned-brand website launches: Immediately take over a peptide brand website that is approximately 60% complete and manage the remaining work through launch.

  2. Agency landing pages and CRO: Own landing-page design and ongoing website optimization for ecommerce clients receiving substantial paid traffic.

The right candidate combines hands-on landing-page design skills with ecommerce strategy, practical CRO experience, and strong execution.

Responsibilities

  • Website Launches: Audit the existing website, prioritize outstanding work, coordinate developers, review the customer journey across product pages, cart, and checkout, verify functionality and tracking, and ensure a successful launch.
  • Landing-Page Design: Personally create polished mobile and desktop designs in Figma, develop page structure and conversion-focused copy, align pages with advertising campaigns, brief developers, and verify implementation quality.
  • Conversion Rate Optimization: Analyze analytics, customer feedback, heatmaps, and session recordings to identify opportunities. Develop testing roadmaps, define hypotheses and success metrics, and monitor conversion rate, revenue per visitor, average order value, checkout completion, and margin where available.
  • Project Ownership: Manage priorities across brands and clients, coordinate developers, designers, copywriters, and media buyers, make independent decisions, and provide weekly updates on progress, results, and blockers.

First 30 Days: Complete the website audit and launch plan, establish team workflows, deliver priority improvements, verify tracking, set performance baselines, and create a focused testing roadmap. The launch date will be confirmed after the initial technical review.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing DTC ecommerce websites and landing pages serving US customers.
  • Proven Shopify experience, including managing ecommerce websites, product pages, offers, cart and checkout flows, and website launches.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing personally designed or substantially improved ecommerce pages.
  • Hands-on Figma skills for mobile and desktop design.
  • Practical CRO experience, including funnel analysis, experimentation, and performance measurement.
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce offers, product pages, merchandising, checkout behavior, and mobile UX.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, including persuasive copywriting and clear developer briefs.
  • Experience managing developers, reviewing implementations, and independently prioritizing multiple projects.
  • Familiarity with GA4, Microsoft Clarity or Hotjar, and experimentation platforms.

Preferred: 5+ years of relevant experience, DTC agency or multi-brand experience in wellness or regulated marketing categories.

Candidates must be comfortable working on a peptide brand using brand-approved claims and content.

Existing developers, designers, and media buyers will provide support. The role personally owns strategy, Figma designs, messaging, priorities, developer briefs, and final quality assurance.
