Senior Health & Safety Specialis

Role Description The Senior Health & Safety Specialist will provide expert guidance on occupational health and safety practices to support CareerCompass GH and its clients. This part-time remote role involves assessing workplace risks, developing and reviewing safety policies, and advising on compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and standards. The specialist will design and deliver safety training materials and virtual workshops, support the integration of Environment Health and Safety (EHS) principles into organizational processes, and recommend corrective actions following audits or incident reports. Day-to-day tasks include conducting remote assessments, preparing clear documentation and reports, collaborating with internal stakeholders and client organizations, and continuously monitoring best practices in health, safety, and workplace wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in Health & Safety and Workplace Safety, with a track record of implementing effective safety programs.
• Strong background in Occupational Health and Environment Health and Safety (EHS), including risk assessment and regulatory compliance.
• Experience designing and delivering Safety Training, workshops, and educational materials for diverse audiences.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) and a degree in Occupational Health, Safety Management, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple stakeholders, and communicate complex safety concepts clearly in written and spoken English.
• Proficiency with digital tools for remote collaboration, documentation, and training delivery; experience advising service-focused or educational organizations is an advantage.
