The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Housekeeping Executive to oversee housekeeping operations, coordinate cleaning personnel, monitor service quality, manage supplies, and ensure that facilities consistently meet established cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in housekeeping supervision, cleaning operations, staff scheduling, sanitation procedures, inventory control, vendor coordination, quality inspections, and operational reporting.
This role will focus on maintaining clean, hygienic, orderly, and presentable environments across offices, staff accommodation, hospitality facilities, common areas, and construction-related operational facilities. The Senior Housekeeping Executive will collaborate with facilities management, project management, procurement, logistics, maintenance teams, contractors, and external service providers to ensure efficient housekeeping operations in accordance with company policies and applicable United Arab Emirates laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily housekeeping operations across assigned offices, facilities, staff accommodation, common areas, and project support environments.
- Develop and implement housekeeping schedules, cleaning plans, sanitation procedures, and service standards based on facility requirements.
- Ensure that all assigned areas are maintained in a clean, hygienic, organized, and presentable condition.
- Coordinate routine cleaning, deep cleaning, periodic maintenance cleaning, and special cleaning activities.
- Establish cleaning frequencies and task schedules for offices, meeting rooms, washrooms, kitchens, corridors, reception areas, storage rooms, and shared facilities.
- Monitor housekeeping activities to ensure that cleaning tasks are completed within agreed schedules and service requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections to assess cleanliness, hygiene, odor control, waste management, and general facility presentation.
- Identify housekeeping deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions with responsible personnel.
- Verify that completed cleaning tasks meet established quality standards before closing inspection findings.
- Develop and maintain housekeeping checklists, inspection forms, cleaning logs, and service performance records.
- Establish clear procedures for cleaning different surfaces, equipment, furniture, flooring materials, and facility finishes.
- Ensure that cleaning methods are suitable for the materials and surfaces being maintained.
- Monitor the correct use of cleaning products, equipment, tools, and approved sanitation methods.
- Ensure that cleaning activities are performed in accordance with manufacturer instructions, safety data sheets, and company procedures.
- Coordinate cleaning arrangements for high-traffic areas, shared facilities, temporary offices, and frequently used workspaces.
- Ensure that washrooms, changing areas, pantry facilities, and other hygiene-sensitive locations receive appropriate cleaning and replenishment.
- Monitor the availability of hand soap, paper products, sanitizers, tissue supplies, and other hygiene essentials.
- Ensure that kitchens, dining areas, and pantry spaces are cleaned and maintained in coordination with relevant food service and facilities teams.
- Coordinate housekeeping support for meetings, corporate events, client visits, inspections, and other special activities.
- Arrange additional cleaning resources when occupancy levels, operational demands, or event schedules require enhanced service coverage.
- Supervise housekeeping staff, cleaners, team leaders, and assigned service personnel to ensure consistent task execution.
- Allocate duties and responsibilities according to facility priorities, staffing levels, workload, and individual capabilities.
- Prepare staff rosters, shift schedules, attendance plans, and leave coverage arrangements.
- Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, uniform standards, conduct, and adherence to workplace policies.
- Provide clear work instructions and daily briefings to housekeeping personnel.
- Train staff in cleaning procedures, sanitation requirements, equipment handling, chemical safety, and workplace conduct.
- Identify employee training needs and coordinate refresher sessions to strengthen service quality and operational consistency.
- Provide coaching and constructive feedback to improve staff productivity, task accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Conduct performance reviews and recommend appropriate development actions for housekeeping team members.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and orientation activities for new housekeeping personnel when required.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and a service-oriented working culture.
- Address staff concerns and workplace issues promptly, escalating matters requiring management intervention.
- Monitor manpower requirements and recommend staffing adjustments to maintain adequate cleaning coverage.
- Coordinate with outsourced housekeeping contractors and verify that their personnel meet contractual and operational requirements.
- Review contractor work schedules, staffing plans, cleaning methods, and service delivery arrangements.
- Monitor third-party housekeeping performance against agreed service levels, key performance indicators, and contractual obligations.
- Communicate service deficiencies to contractors and follow up to ensure that corrective measures are completed.
- Participate in contractor performance reviews and recommend improvements to service delivery.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to forecast requirements for cleaning chemicals, detergents, disinfectants, toiletries, consumables, tools, and equipment.
- Prepare replenishment requests based on consumption rates, occupancy levels, cleaning schedules, and available inventory.
- Monitor housekeeping supply levels and ensure that essential materials remain available for daily operations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for cleaning supplies, housekeeping equipment, uniforms, and other operational materials.
- Conduct periodic stock counts and investigate discrepancies between recorded and physical inventory.
- Implement appropriate stock rotation, storage, and issue procedures to reduce waste and prevent product deterioration.
- Monitor expiry dates, packaging integrity, and storage conditions for cleaning products and sanitation materials.
- Ensure that chemicals are properly labeled, securely stored, and segregated where necessary.
- Coordinate with approved suppliers to confirm product availability, delivery schedules, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Review supplier performance and report recurring quality issues, delivery delays, or unsuitable products.
- Evaluate alternative cleaning products and consumables based on effectiveness, safety, cost, environmental considerations, and compatibility with facility requirements.
- Monitor housekeeping expenditure and assist in preparing operating budgets and cost forecasts.
- Track supply consumption, labor costs, contractor charges, and equipment expenses against approved budgets.
- Identify opportunities to reduce wastage, improve purchasing efficiency, and optimize resource utilization without compromising hygiene standards.
- Review unusual consumption patterns and investigate potential losses, misuse, or inefficiencies.
- Verify delivery notes, purchase requests, stock records, and supporting documentation in coordination with procurement and finance teams.
- Monitor the condition, availability, and utilization of housekeeping equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, polishing machines, and cleaning carts.
- Ensure that equipment is operated by trained personnel and maintained according to manufacturer instructions.
- Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment and coordinate repairs, servicing, or replacement with facilities and maintenance teams.
- Maintain equipment inspection records and ensure that defective equipment is removed from use when it presents a safety risk.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to address leaks, drainage issues, damaged fixtures, defective washroom equipment, and other conditions affecting cleanliness.
- Report building defects, pest activity, unpleasant odors, water damage, and potential hygiene hazards through established reporting channels.
- Monitor housekeeping activities in areas affected by construction work, maintenance activities, refurbishment, or facility modifications.
