Role Description The Senior Health & Safety Specialist is a part-time, remote role responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety policies and procedures that support PSX Daily Info’s operations and virtual work environment. Day-to-day tasks include conducting risk assessments, reviewing and updating safety guidelines, and advising on occupational health considerations for remote and any on-site activities. The specialist will design and deliver safety training materials, ensure alignment with Environment Health and Safety (EHS) standards, and promote a culture of workplace safety across the organization. This role also involves preparing incident reports, recommending corrective actions, and collaborating with leadership to ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Health & Safety and Workplace Safety, with the ability to design and oversee comprehensive safety programs.
• Experience in Occupational Health and Environment Health and Safety (EHS), including risk assessment and regulatory compliance.
• Proficiency in Safety Training, with a track record of developing and delivering engaging, practical training for diverse audiences.
• Solid understanding of applicable health and safety legislation and best practices, preferably with experience in office or remote work environments.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA or equivalent) and a degree or diploma in Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills, including the ability to investigate incidents and recommend preventive measures.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and promote a safety-focused culture.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage part-time hours efficiently, and support a geographically dispersed team.
