Senior HSE Specialis

Role Description The Senior HSE Specialist is a part-time remote role responsible for overseeing health, safety, and environmental practices across the organization. This role includes developing, implementing, and maintaining HSE policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements and company standards. The Senior HSE Specialist will conduct risk assessments, provide guidance on occupational health and safety issues, and monitor compliance with environmental and safety regulations. Daily tasks involve preparing reports, advising management on HSE performance, coordinating incident investigations, and recommending corrective actions. The role also includes designing and delivering remote training sessions to promote safety awareness, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement in HSE practices.

Qualifications

• Ability to apply Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and Health & Safety principles to develop and manage organizational HSE programs.
• Strong Environmental Awareness and Occupational Health knowledge to identify risks, ensure compliance, and promote sustainable practices.
• Experience in Training design and delivery to educate team members on safety procedures, environmental policies, and risk mitigation.
• Proven experience in an HSE or similar role, preferably within media, publishing, or corporate environments.
• Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards at local and international levels.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to interpret data and trends.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional and remote teams.
• Professional certifications in HSE or related fields (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) and a relevant academic background are highly beneficial.
