Senior IAM Architect (Advisory & Pre-Sales)

You’ll be the architect who designs the identity solution and writes the SoW that wins it. This role sits on both sides of the sale: hands-on architecture across IAM, IGA and PAM, plus leading discovery, scoping and estimates. The employer is a specialist identity security partner working with critical infrastructure, energy, government, higher education and financial services clients.

The essentials

• $180,000 to $220,000 base plus super
• Brisbane, Adelaide or Perth, hybrid with 2 to 3 days in the office. Sydney or Melbourne considered for exceptional experience.
• Permanent senior role reporting to the Head of Engineering, with a dotted line to Sales

What you’ll actually do

• Lead technical discovery and requirements workshops with CISOs, business stakeholders and technical teams
• Design and validate IdP, IGA, PAM, MFA and identity lifecycle solutions, from high-level design through to architecture assurance for delivery teams
• Scope solutions, estimate effort and own the technical content of SoWs, proposals and tenders through to customer-ready draft
• Deliver billable advisory work, including architecture reviews, maturity assessments and identity roadmaps
• Act as trusted technical adviser to assigned customers under Technical Account Management and managed services arrangements
• Translate SOCI, AESCSF and Essential Eight requirements into practical identity controls

What you’ll need

Essential

• Hands-on architecture experience across IAM, IGA and PAM
• A track record of leading discovery, scoping and effort estimation, and writing the technical content of SoWs or tenders without heavy oversight
• Practical experience with several of SailPoint, Saviynt, Microsoft Entra ID and Entra ID Governance, CyberArk, Delinea and Okta
• Working knowledge of the IAM implications of SOCI, AESCSF and the Essential Eight
• A background in consulting, systems integration, managed services or Cyber Security professional services
• Confidence presenting architecture to CISOs and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have

• Identity threat detection and protection tooling
• NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53, MITRE ATT&CK and Zero Trust
• Integrations with SAP, SuccessFactors, Workday or ServiceNow
• Mentoring colleagues and building reusable architecture patterns

You’ll need to be able to obtain a national police check.
