Senior Interior Designer

Role Description The Senior Interior Designer role is a part-time hybrid position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The Senior Interior Designer will be responsible for developing interior design concepts for healthcare and related facilities, including space planning, layout optimization, and coordination with architectural and engineering teams. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing construction drawings, selecting FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), and ensuring design compliance with local regulations and healthcare standards. The role involves collaborating with project managers, clients, and contractors, overseeing design execution, and providing guidance to junior designers. The Senior Interior Designer will also participate in site visits, design reviews, and quality checks to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet functional and aesthetic requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Interior Design and Architecture, with experience in healthcare or commercial projects.
• Demonstrated skills in Space Planning to create efficient, safe, and patient-centered environments.
• Ability to produce and review detailed Construction Drawings, including coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
• Expertise in FF&E selection and specification, ensuring durability, compliance, and visual cohesion.
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field; advanced certifications are an advantage.
• Proficiency in design and documentation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar tools).
• Strong project coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in or with healthcare environments in the UAE or GCC region is preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid setup and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
