Senior Interior Designer

Role Description The Senior Interior Designer will lead the planning, design, and coordination of interior spaces for industrial, commercial, and corporate projects. This part-time, hybrid role is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with a combination of on-site work and approved work-from-home tasks. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing design concepts, preparing detailed drawings and specifications, coordinating FF&E selections, and ensuring alignment with architectural and engineering requirements. The role involves collaborating with project managers, architects, contractors, and suppliers, as well as attending client meetings to present design proposals and revisions. The Senior Interior Designer will also review construction progress, provide design-related guidance, and help maintain project timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Interior Design and Space Planning skills to create functional, safe, and aesthetically cohesive environments.
• Candidates should possess Architecture and Construction Drawings skills to develop accurate design documentation and coordinate effectively with project teams.
• Candidates should possess FF&E expertise to select and specify furniture, fixtures, and equipment that meet project standards and budget requirements.
• Relevant experience in commercial, industrial, or corporate interior design projects, ideally in or related to sectors such as energy, construction, or infrastructure.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar) and familiarity with building codes and safety regulations.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate in multicultural, multidisciplinary teams.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field, with senior-level experience leading design projects.
