Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain digital records of patents, trademarks, industrial designs, copyrights, and other intellectual property assets.
  • Coordinate intellectual property application workflows, renewals, registrations, and portfolio maintenance activities.
  • Monitor filing deadlines, renewal dates, opposition periods, and other critical IP milestones.
  • Conduct preliminary trademark, patent, and design searches to identify potential conflicts and assess existing rights.
  • Review intellectual property documentation for completeness, consistency, and alignment with internal requirements.
  • Support patent disclosure processes by coordinating technical information and documentation from research and development teams.
  • Assist with trademark clearance reviews, brand protection assessments, and intellectual property risk analysis.
  • Monitor competitor filings, relevant IP developments, and changes in intellectual property regulations and practices.
  • Maintain IP portfolio databases, ownership records, licensing information, and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate with external patent attorneys, trademark agents, law firms, and intellectual property service providers.
  • Support the preparation and review of intellectual property licensing, assignment, confidentiality, and technology transfer documentation.
  • Track contractual obligations, usage rights, royalty provisions, and renewal conditions relating to IP agreements.
  • Assist with identifying potential infringement risks, unauthorized use of intellectual property, and brand misuse.
  • Support the collection and organization of digital evidence for intellectual property investigations and enforcement matters.
  • Review employee and contractor IP assignment records and confidentiality documentation.
  • Contribute to intellectual property policies, procedures, governance frameworks, and internal awareness programs.
  • Support due diligence activities involving IP ownership, portfolio quality, licensing arrangements, and potential infringement exposure.
  • Prepare management reports on portfolio status, filing activity, renewal requirements, risks, and intellectual property performance.
  • Maintain secure and confidential records of proprietary information, inventions, trade secrets, and commercially sensitive materials.
  • Recommend improvements to IP administration processes, document controls, and portfolio management systems.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Intellectual Property, Business Administration, Engineering, Science, or a related discipline.
  • A postgraduate qualification or professional training in intellectual property law or management is an advantage.
  • Typically 5–8 years of experience in intellectual property management, IP administration, legal operations, patent or trademark coordination, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of intellectual property rights, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, industrial designs, and trade secrets.
  • Familiarity with international IP frameworks and relevant UAE intellectual property laws and procedures.
  • Experience coordinating IP registrations, renewals, portfolio records, and external legal service providers.
  • Knowledge of patent and trademark search processes, clearance reviews, and basic infringement risk assessment.
  • Understanding of IP licensing, assignment, confidentiality, technology transfer, and ownership documentation.
  • Familiarity with international IP systems and organizations, including WIPO and relevant national IP offices.
  • Ability to review technical, legal, and commercial documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience with intellectual property databases, docketing systems, document management platforms, and research tools.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written communication, report preparation, and stakeholder coordination abilities.
  • Ability to manage confidential information and commercially sensitive records responsibly.
  • Professional qualifications or certifications in intellectual property management, patent administration, or trademark practice are advantageous.
What We Offer
  • A fully remote, work-from-home position based in the UAE.
  • Opportunities to support intellectual property strategy and portfolio development.
  • Exposure to international IP matters and cross-functional business initiatives.
  • Collaboration with legal, technical, research, and commercial professionals.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression.
