Senior IT Project Engineer – MSP

Location: Dublin

Salary: €60,000–€70,000 basic, depending on experience + benefits

Office based first 6 months, hybrid WFH days available after probation is passed.

The Opportunity

Stack & Co Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Engineer for an established MSP IT services business in Dublin.

This is a hands-on role focused on delivering Microsoft cloud, networking and infrastructure projects for clients, rather than day-to-day IT support.

You'll take ownership of projects from initial design and planning through to implementation and handover. It is a must for you to have MSP experience doing projects for external clients.

What You'll Be Doing

- Deliver client infrastructure projects from design through to implementation, testing and handover.

- Implement Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune and Windows Server solutions.

- Deliver networking projects involving firewalls, switching, routing, VLANs and VPNs.

- Plan and manage infrastructure migrations, including hybrid environments.

- Work directly with clients, managing technical requirements, project risks and documentation.

What We're Looking For

- MSP experience is essential, with proven delivery of client infrastructure projects within an MSP, IT services provider or systems integrator operating in an MSP environment.

- Strong hands-on Azure experience across compute, networking, identity, storage, backup and hybrid solutions.

- Solid Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory, Windows Server and Intune experience, including endpoint deployment and management.

- Good networking knowledge, including firewalls, TCP/IP, VLANs, switching, routing and VPNs.

- Ability to independently manage technical projects, solve complex problems and communicate confidently with clients.

• The IT Project role would suit an IT Engineer with proven MSP experience who is a Level 3 Engineer or a strong Level 2 Engineer who wants to step up to L3 projects.

Desirable: Infrastructure or cloud migrations, disaster recovery, PowerShell and relevant Microsoft or networking certifications.
