Senior IT System Engineer

What will you be doing? We are looking for a highly skilled Senior IT System Engineer to join our Digital Services team. In this role, you will act as the primary technical advisor and main point of contact for customers, combining senior system integration expertise with service management responsibilities. You will ensure seamless service delivery, technical excellence, and high levels of customer satisfaction. In this role you will: Act as the technical escalation point for complex issues Troubleshoot complex technical problems across systems, networking, cybersecurity, and vessel ICT environments Act as the main technical point of contact for customers and manage technical expectations Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure smooth communication Evaluate customer feedback and support continuous service improvement Ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery Liaise with internal teams to ensure effective service execution Conduct audits of systems, services, and inventory Research new technologies and propose improvements Supervise system updates, patches, and security controls Manage planned and unplanned system activities Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of systems and applications Coordinate project executions with SysAdmin team Oversee data protection processes and ensure adherence to best practices Follow ITIL-aligned practices for IT support operations Track service metrics, audit tickets, and ensure SLA compliance Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar technical or service delivery role Advanced knowledge of Windows systems integration (domain controllers, DNS, DHCP, application servers, etc.) for a medium on-prem environment Experience with peripherals like NAS, APs, printers, switches etc. Strong understanding of networking and cybersecurity Experience with IT service management and ITIL practices Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Customer-oriented mindset Great to have Master’s degree in a relevant field Vendor certifications (Microsoft, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco) Security certifications (e.g. CompTIA Security+, CISSP or equivalent) ITIL, PRINCE2, or similar certifications Familiarity with maritime ICT environments Beyond offering a working environment which values and supports people and their well-being, we at Navarino offer: An attractive financial package A generous bonus, announced yearly, based on overall company’s performance and your contributions to our team's success Excellent working conditions with a good work-life balance Excellent variety of benefits including private health insurance Personal development and training opportunities to build your professional growth, skills, and knowledge A working environment certified as a "Great Place to Work" for four consecutive years (2022–2025), a "Best Place to Work- Tech" for 2025 and "Best Place to Work- Hellas" 2026
