Overview

An opportunity to join a leading global medical technology organisation as Senior Programme Lead, with accountability for a critical software workstream within a major global product development programme.

This is a senior, high-visibility position, acting as the primary/ sole software programme representative for the Irish operation within a wider international programme team.

Operating with significant autonomy, the successful candidate will represent the capabilities, priorities and delivery commitments of the Irish software organisation, acting as the key link between the local engineering function and senior global stakeholders.

The role requires an established software programme leader with a strong track record in complex, multinational and regulated environments, alongside the credibility to influence senior stakeholders and shape programme delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the software workstream within a global, cross-functional product development programme.
• Act as the primary software programme representative for the Irish operation, ensuring local priorities, capabilities and delivery commitments are represented at global level.
• Own delivery planning, programme governance, milestones, budgets and resource requirements.
• Provide senior oversight of risks, dependencies and delivery commitments.
• Influence programme direction, ensuring software delivery requirements are understood and reflected in wider programme decisions.
• Partner with technical and product leadership to address scope, requirements and delivery challenges.
• Build strong relationships across international teams, driving alignment, accountability and effective decision-making.

Experience Required

• Significant experience leading complex software programmes within a large multinational organisation.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale, cross-functional technology initiatives.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and technical delivery environments.
• Experience within a regulated industry, ideally MedTech, medical devices, pharmaceutical, biotechnology or financial services.
• Strong programme governance, financial and resource management capabilities.
• Demonstrable ability to influence senior stakeholders within complex, matrixed organisations.
• Comfortable operating autonomously, representing a local technology function within a global organisation.

Renumeration

• Base Salary: €140,000–€160,000
• Annual Bonus: 15%
