  • Assess claims arising from fire, flooding, water damage, storms, accidental damage, theft, vandalism, and other insured events.
  • Review loss adjuster reports, property damage assessments, contractor quotations, and repair recommendations.
  • Evaluate the extent of reported damage and determine whether submitted costs are consistent with the available evidence.
  • Coordinate remotely with loss adjusters, surveyors, contractors, property managers, brokers, policyholders, and internal departments.
  • Investigate complex, high-value, disputed, and potentially fraudulent property claims.
  • Review policy conditions, warranties, exclusions, endorsements, and other contractual provisions relevant to claim decisions.
  • Assess repair costs, replacement values, depreciation, reinstatement expenses, and applicable settlement calculations.
  • Monitor claim reserves, outstanding liabilities, settlement progress, and recovery opportunities.
  • Coordinate with legal teams and recovery specialists on subrogation, third-party liability, and disputed claims.
  • Identify unusual loss patterns, inconsistent documentation, inflated repair costs, and potential fraud indicators.
  • Manage escalated claims, customer complaints, reconsiderations, and settlement disputes.
  • Prepare clear claims assessments, decision summaries, settlement recommendations, and supporting reports.
  • Maintain accurate claims records, correspondence, investigation notes, and audit trails within approved systems.
  • Monitor claims turnaround times, service-level agreements, outstanding documentation, and overall case performance.
  • Support internal audits, regulatory reviews, and claims quality assurance activities.
  • Recommend improvements to claims procedures, cost management, investigation standards, and operational controls.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior property claims specialists.
Qualifications and Experience

  • Significant professional experience in property insurance claims, claims assessment, loss adjusting, or insurance operations.
  • Strong understanding of property insurance policies, coverage provisions, exclusions, deductibles, and settlement procedures.
  • Experience handling residential, commercial, and industrial property claims.
  • Knowledge of property damage assessment, reinstatement costs, repair estimates, building materials, and construction-related expenses.
  • Familiarity with claims involving fire, water damage, flooding, weather events, theft, and accidental property damage.
  • Experience reviewing loss adjuster reports, technical assessments, contractor quotations, and supporting evidence.
  • Understanding of claims investigation, liability assessment, subrogation, and recovery procedures.
  • Knowledge of fraud detection, claims risk controls, and dispute resolution processes.
  • Familiarity with insurance claims management platforms, document management systems, and reporting applications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and claims analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex policy wording and technical documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with customers, brokers, adjusters, and service providers.
  • High attention to detail, sound judgment, and strong organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex claims and competing deadlines in a fully remote environment.
  • Relevant professional qualifications, such as ACII, CII, or recognized loss adjusting and property claims certifications, are an advantage.
What We Offer
