Senior QA Consultant

Senior QA Consultant InnoWave is looking for a Senior QA Consultant to join a strategic project in the energy sector. We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills, a quality-driven mindset, and experience guiding and mentoring QA teams in Agile environments. Senior QA Consultant Responsibilities Lead and support QA activities across web and mobile applications Design, execute, and maintain detailed test cases and test scenarios Define testing strategies aligned with business and project requirements Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects throughout the software development lifecycle Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure high-quality software delivery Validate new features, enhancements, and bug fixes Execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing activities Support release validation and deployment activities Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Owners, Developers, and Business Analysts Mentor and support junior and mid-level QA profiles Provide guidance on QA best practices and continuous improvement initiatives Ensure timely reporting of testing progress, risks, and issues Contribute to the evolution of QA processes, standards, and methodologies Skills 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a strong focus on manual testing Proven experience leading QA teams or mentoring other QA professionals Experience testing both web and mobile applications Hands-on experience with Xray for test management Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, processes, and best practices Experience designing and executing test cases and test scenarios Experience with defect management and bug-tracking tools Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC) Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments ISTQB certification (mandatory) Knowledge of test automation is a strong plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and commitment to quality Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams Fluent in English — written and spoken (mandatory) Based in Lisbon (mandatory) InnoWave gives equal opportunity in employment regardless of gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, race, nationality, religion, age, disability, political beliefs, or any other factor.
