Senior Regulatory Food Specialist

Role Description The Senior Regulatory Food Specialist is a part-time, hybrid role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with flexibility for some work-from-home tasks. The specialist will oversee compliance with local and international food safety and regulatory standards, review product labels and formulations, and ensure documentation aligns with applicable regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include interpreting regulatory updates, advising internal teams on food compliance requirements, and collaborating with operations, quality assurance, and supply chain on regulatory matters. The role also involves preparing reports and submissions for regulatory authorities, supporting audits and inspections, and providing training on regulatory and food safety best practices.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Food Preparation and Cooking skills relevant to evaluating processes and products.
• Candidates should possess experience in Food & Beverage and Food Service operations to understand practical regulatory impacts.
• Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external authorities.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP principles, and regulatory frameworks applicable in the UAE and international markets.
• Candidates should possess strong analytical and documentation skills, with attention to detail in reviewing labels, specifications, and compliance records.
• Relevant academic background in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in regulatory affairs, quality assurance, or compliance within the food industry is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid setting, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
