Senior Safety Specialis

Role Description The Senior Safety Specialist role at Cercare lavoro è un lavoro is a part-time, remote position focused on promoting a strong health and safety culture across the organization. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing, implementing, and updating safety policies and procedures; conducting risk assessments and safety audits; and providing guidance on regulatory compliance. The Senior Safety Specialist will design and deliver safety training programs, lead and document accident and incident investigations, and recommend corrective and preventive actions. This role also involves collaborating with leaders and team members to identify hazards, improve workplace practices, and monitor safety performance metrics. The specialist will prepare clear reports and recommendations, stay current with relevant regulations and best practices, and serve as a point of contact for safety-related questions and initiatives.
Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Health & Safety and Occupational Health, with the ability to develop and implement practical safety programs.
• Experience in Environment Health and Safety (EHS), including understanding of environmental regulations and risk mitigation strategies.
• Ability to design and deliver effective Safety Training, including remote training sessions and learning materials.
• Proficiency in Accident Investigation, root-cause analysis, and developing corrective and preventive action plans.
• Knowledge of relevant local and international safety regulations and standards, and experience applying them in diverse work environments.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills, with attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and promote a culture of safety in a remote setting.
• Relevant professional certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, CSP, or equivalent) and prior experience in a senior or lead safety role are highly beneficial.
