About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Scholarship Eligibility Verification Specialist to oversee the review, validation, and assessment of scholarship applications against established eligibility criteria and program requirements. This role focuses on verifying applicant information, reviewing academic records, evaluating supporting documentation, and ensuring that scholarship applications are processed consistently, accurately, and transparently.

The successful candidate will coordinate digital verification workflows, investigate documentation discrepancies, maintain applicant records, and prepare evidence-based eligibility review summaries. Working entirely remotely, the specialist will collaborate with scholarship administrators, educational institutions, financial aid teams, and authorized decision-makers to support effective scholarship administration and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the verification of scholarship applications against approved eligibility criteria, program guidelines, and application requirements.
  • Review applicant information, including personal details, educational background, academic achievements, and declared circumstances.
  • Verify academic transcripts, certificates, enrollment confirmations, graduation records, and other education-related documentation.
  • Assess applications against specified academic performance thresholds, grade requirements, study levels, and eligible fields of study.
  • Review financial documentation where means-tested or income-based scholarship eligibility applies.
  • Verify supporting evidence relating to residency, citizenship, household circumstances, disability accommodations, or other criteria where relevant and legally permissible.
  • Identify incomplete, inconsistent, duplicated, expired, or potentially inaccurate application records.
  • Conduct structured documentary checks and coordinate additional verification requests through approved institutional channels.
  • Review eligibility exceptions and prepare clear case summaries for authorized scholarship administrators.
  • Maintain accurate applicant records, verification notes, evidence registers, and case status updates.
  • Monitor application queues and prioritize cases according to deadlines, program requirements, and service-level targets.
  • Apply standardized eligibility checklists and quality assurance procedures to promote consistent assessment outcomes.
  • Investigate discrepancies between applicant declarations and supporting documents, escalating suspected misrepresentation through established procedures.
  • Coordinate remotely with universities, schools, scholarship sponsors, government education departments, and other relevant institutions to validate information.
  • Prepare reports covering application volumes, eligibility outcomes, incomplete submissions, exception trends, and processing performance.
  • Support scholarship application system improvements, digital document verification workflows, and data quality initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive applicant information throughout the verification process.
  • Review scholarship program guidelines and communicate changes to verification procedures and documentation requirements.
  • Support internal audits by maintaining traceable evidence and documented verification histories.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior verification personnel and contribute to continuous improvement of scholarship administration processes.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Human Resources, Information Management, or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in scholarship administration, student admissions, educational records verification, financial aid processing, or eligibility assessment.
  • Strong understanding of scholarship application procedures and common academic eligibility requirements.
  • Experience reviewing academic transcripts, certificates, enrollment records, and institutional documentation.
  • Familiarity with academic grading systems, qualification frameworks, and international education credentials.
  • Understanding of financial eligibility assessment and supporting documentation where scholarship programs include means-testing.
  • Experience using student information systems, scholarship management platforms, applicant tracking systems, or document management tools.
  • Ability to validate information through authorized institutional sources and approved verification channels.
  • Strong knowledge of document control, recordkeeping, confidentiality, and data protection principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and digital application management systems.
  • Experience with data reporting, case management dashboards, or workflow automation tools is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical and investigative skills, with the ability to identify inconsistencies and missing information.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to fair, consistent, and evidence-based verification.
  • Ability to interpret program policies and translate eligibility requirements into practical review procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing case summaries and communicating documentation requirements.
  • Ability to manage high-volume application workloads while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle confidential records responsibly.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with geographically distributed stakeholders.
What We Offer
  • A fully remote, work-from-home opportunity based in the UAE.
  • The opportunity to support fair and transparent access to educational funding.
  • Exposure to scholarship administration, international education records, and digital verification systems.
  • A collaborative environment involving education, finance, and program administration professionals.
  • Opportunities for professional development in education administration, compliance, and verification processes.
