Senior Snowflake Data Engineer

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Snowflake Data Engineer with a strong background in development and architecture. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Snowflake, experience in designing scalable data solutions, and a passion for optimizing cloud-based data platforms. If you hold an Advanced Snowflake Architect Certification , it will be a significant advantage. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and implement robust data pipelines and solutions on the Snowflake Data Cloud platform. Architect scalable and secure data solutions tailored to client needs, leveraging Snowflake’s advanced features. Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes for large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and processing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders, to deliver business-critical data solutions. Ensure best practices in data architecture, security, and performance tuning within the Snowflake environment. Lead and mentor junior engineers, fostering growth and technical excellence within the team. Stay abreast of Snowflake updates, emerging technologies, and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge. Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring high availability and reliability of systems. Qualifications Essential: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a focus on Snowflake. Proven expertise in designing and implementing data architectures on Snowflake. Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, or other relevant programming languages. Proficiency with ETL/ELT tools such as DBT, Matillion, or Informatica. Strong understanding of data modelling, warehousing concepts, and cloud architectures. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Preferred: Advanced Snowflake Architect Certification. Experience with Snowflake features such as Snowpipe, Time Travel, and Data Sharing. Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and security best practices. Strong communication and leadership skills with a proven ability to drive projects to completion.
