Senior Test Analyst

Senior Test Analyst (JP1007) — 12-Month Contract

VStream Labs Inc. is seeking a Senior Test Analyst to support a confidential public-sector digital licensing and enquiry initiative. This is a primarily remote role within Canada, with occasional onsite meetings in Edmonton, Alberta. The schedule is 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, aligned with Alberta business hours (8:15 a.m.–4:30 p.m. MT). Equipment will be provided. Compensation: CAD 70/hour plus applicable HST.

What You’ll Do

• Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios based on business requirements and acceptance criteria.

• Lead and support functional, regression, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), integration, end-to-end, enhancement, deployment, and post-deployment testing.

• Identify, document, track, retest, and validate defects through resolution; contribute to defect triage and root-cause analysis.

• Maintain test execution records, traceability, testing metrics, trackers, risks, and status reporting for project stakeholders.

• Validate data, integrations, migrations, business processes, system workflows, and deployment readiness.

• Coordinate testing with business users, business analysts, technical teams, project managers, security teams, and third-party vendors.

• Work in Agile or iterative delivery environments with sprint-based testing cycles.

• Develop user guides, quick-reference guides, job aids, process documentation, training presentations, FAQs, and knowledge articles.

• Support end-user training, demonstrations, knowledge transfer, go-live, hypercare, stabilization, and operational transition.

• Use approved AI-assisted tools to help develop test assets and user documentation, with appropriate human review.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.

• Senior-level testing background, ideally 13–15+ years of overall relevant experience.

• 15+ years of demonstrated experience coordinating testing across business and technical stakeholder groups.

• 15+ years of experience with software testing methodologies, UAT, business-process validation, and the development and execution of test cases, scripts, scenarios, and plans.

• 15+ years of experience managing defects, testing records, metrics, trackers, and stakeholder reporting.

• 15+ years of experience supporting data validation, integration testing, end-to-end testing, and deployment readiness.

• 15+ years of experience working in Agile or iterative delivery environments with sprint-based testing.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience creating accurate, usable training and support materials.

• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada, work from within Canada, and be available for occasional onsite sessions in Edmonton.

• Ability to satisfy applicable background, security, and privacy requirements.

• ServiceNow applications, workflows, stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Licensing, regulatory, permitting, or citizen-facing service transformation initiatives.

• Role-based learning plans, end-user training, platform adoption, and business readiness.

• CSM, Agile, ISTQB/QAI, Prosci, or SAFe 6 Practice Consultant certification.

• Experience enabling teams on data, analytics, AI best practices, governance, or platform adoption.
