Senior Test Engineer – Playwright & ReadyAPI

Our client, a prominent legal and administrative services federation, is seeking a seasoned professional to ensure the quality of software solutions within their digital transformation program. The role involves overseeing technical and functional validation, defining strategies, and collaborating across software delivery teams to enhance the end-user experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement comprehensive test strategies to ensure software reliability.
• Review business requirements and analysis documents to identify testing priorities.
• Design, execute, and manage complex test cases, scenarios, and plans.
• Automate test cases for APIs and UIs using specialized testing tools.
• Monitor defect lifecycles, resolve issues, and produce detailed quality reports.
• Assist project teams in estimating testing efforts and refining test deliverables.
• Drive continuous improvement of internal testing processes and quality assurance standards.
  
  

Requirements

• You bring 8+ years of professional experience in software testing, covering both manual and automated methodologies.
• You possess extensive expertise in defining test strategies and performing API testing.
• You have advanced knowledge of testing Java services, REST APIs, XML, XSD, and WSDL.
• You bring 5+ years of experience in analyzing and modelling complex business processes and workflows.
• You have hands-on experience with testing tools such as Playwright and ReadyAPI.
• You possess experience using Jira and Xray for test management and defect tracking.
• You have experience with Groovy Script or an equivalent scripting language for automation.
• You bring experience working within Agile development environments.
• You possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• You are fluent in English and either Dutch or French, with at least basic knowledge of the other national language (French or Dutch).
  
  

Nice to Haves

• Possession of an ISTQB certification.
• Familiarity with public administration systems or similar regulatory domains.
• Knowledge of OWASP security verification standards.
