Job Description Senior Tunnel Risk Engineer - Underground Construction & Infrastructure Projects Your Tasks Perform technical risk assessments and desktop reviews of international tunnel, underground construction and infrastructure projects. Conduct risk engineering surveys and site assessments on major construction projects worldwide. Evaluate construction methodologies, geotechnical conditions, project execution strategies and risk mitigation measures. Advise clients and project stakeholders on industry best practices and risk improvement opportunities. Prepare high-quality technical reports and recommendations for underwriters, clients, brokers and co-insurers. Develop Probable Maximum Loss (PML) scenarios and other engineering-based risk analyses. Support underwriting decisions through technical expertise and project-specific risk evaluations. Deliver technical training and knowledge-sharing sessions for internal and external stakeholders. Contribute to the continuous development of risk engineering methodologies, tools and technical standards. Your Profile Master's degree or PhD in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 5 years of experience on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects. Strong expertise in tunnel construction, underground works, TBM operations and/or complex geotechnical projects. Solid understanding of construction risk management and project execution. Experience working in international and multidisciplinary project environments. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and presentation abilities. Customer-focused mindset and ability to engage with senior project stakeholders. Fluent English (written and spoken); additional languages such as German, Italian or Spanish are advantageous.
