Senior UX Designer

Help define the next iteration of remote work experience as a Senior UX designer at Katmai. Partner with product and engineering to dive deep into the problem space. Participate in cross-functional ideation sessions to select the best solution for the current situation. Share your ux expertise in the development of streamlined, yet engaging experiences for customers. Responsibilities - Collaborating with product and engineering to understand the problem space - Working cross-functionally to brainstorm solutions - Delivering design work including sketches and rough prototypes, wireframes, UX flows and high fidelity prototypes - Using your design skills to make strong typography, layout and hierarchy choices - Providing design critique and mentorship to other designers - Contributing to design libraries and providing visual design and brand artifacts What we value - Collaborative team players with a growth mindset - A commitment to exploring the problem space - Detailed oriented with a focus on quality and customer service - Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills and developing long-term solutions. - Proactive self-starters, highly motivated, and creative thinkers Qualifications - 5+ years shipping high impact digital experiences - Solid understanding of how modern technologies are used with design (CSS, Vue...) - Ability to thrive in an agile setting - Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing great experiences - Ability to easily communicate design reasoning for a particular direction - Ability to collaborate with both engineering and product on tradeoffs - Experience with Figma preferred - Mobile design experience is a plus
