Senior Web Designer - NOAA Programs

Apply Description We are seeking a highly skilled Web Designer to lead the development, maintenance, and optimization of public-facing and internal organizational websites. This role focuses on user experience, site architecture, and the integration of digital visual strategies. This position is contingent upon contract award. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development and maintenance of organizational websites; build templates, optimize navigation, and incorporate interactive features. Track, report, and interpret website analytics via monthly reports; provide data-driven recommendations to leadership to build digital presence. Develop and maintain internal repositories for workforce policies and communications resources; ensure content is accurate, accessible, and branded. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in public affairs, education, environmental studies, marine affairs, marine biology or related. Minimum of 6 years of demonstrated experience in web content management, site architecture, or digital resource administration within a NOAA mission-driven environment/contract. Knowledge of industry standard visual communication and multimedia products. Proficiency in web analytics, content management systems, and collaborative IT coordination to enhance digital presence Ability to interact effectively with senior leadership and external stakeholders with a high degree of discretion and professionalism. Capacity to manage multiple competing deadlines in a fast-paced "quick response" environment. Willingness and ability to travel as needed to support events and related logistics.
