Location: Bryanston, Johannesburg Work Model: Full-time | Hybrid 3 days in-office, 2 days remote Work Smarter. Think Critically. Make an Impact. At Isazi, we solve complex, real-world problems using data, AI and intelligent systems. We are a high-performing team that values curiosity, ownership and, above all, how you think . We are looking for a Strategic Executive Assistant to work closely with an Executive in our AI and technology environment. This is much more than a traditional EA role. We are looking for someone who can bring structure to a fast-moving environment, anticipate what is needed, protect executive focus and use technology, particularly AI , to make work better and more efficient. You should be highly organised, commercially aware, comfortable with ambiguity and someone who naturally looks for a smarter way of doing things. Just as importantly, you need the judgement to know that AI is a tool, not a source of truth. What You'll Do You will become a trusted partner to the Executive, taking ownership of the day-to-day operational detail that allows them to focus on the things that matter most. Your responsibilities will include: Executive & Calendar Management: Manage and prioritise the Executive's inbox, calendar and competing priorities. Anticipate conflicts and requirements, protect time for strategic work and ensure they are properly prepared for important meetings. AI-Enabled Content & Communication: Use tools such as Claude and Gemini to draft proposals, presentations, correspondence, summaries and reports. You will be expected to critically review, fact-check and refine AI-generated content before it is shared. Information & Document Management: Turn large or complex amounts of information into clear, concise and decision-ready summaries. Review contracts, NDAs and commercial documents, highlighting key obligations, risks and actions for Executive review. Commercial & Financial Support: Maintain accurate trackers and spreadsheets and assist with basic business information such as invoicing, expenditure, margins and other key metrics. Workflow & AI Optimisation: Look for repetitive or inefficient processes and find ways to improve them using AI, automation and better systems. This could include developing prompts, templates, AI workflows or other practical solutions that save time and improve quality. Confidentiality & Data Protection: Handle sensitive executive, financial, legal and business information with a high level of discretion and ensure AI tools are used responsibly and in line with POPIA and Isazi's information-security requirements. What We're Looking For You don't need to be an AI engineer, but you do need to be genuinely comfortable working with AI and excited about finding practical ways to use it. You should have: 4+ years' experience in a high-autonomy Executive Assistant, Operations, Project Management or similar role. Experience working in a fast-paced environment where judgement, discretion and ownership are important. Practical experience using AI tools such as Claude and/ or Gemini in a professional environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities independently. Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving ability. Excellent attention to detail and the confidence to question information rather than simply accept it. Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills and comfort working with numbers and business information. An understanding of confidentiality, information security and POPIA . The ability to understand and summarise business documents, including contracts and NDAs. A basic understanding of commercial concepts such as invoicing, margins and cash flow. This is an opportunity to work closely with senior leadership in a business operating at the forefront of AI, data and technology . You'll have exposure to strategic decision-making, work alongside some exceptionally bright technical people and have the freedom to genuinely improve the way an Executive and the broader business operates. You'll also have access to learning and development opportunities, performance-based rewards, regular team engagement and our Johannesburg office benefits, including complimentary breakfast and lunch from our in-house chef, Chico . Most importantly, you'll be joining a team where curiosity, ownership, intellectual honesty and doing meaningful work are valued.
