Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Systems & Product Manager to manage and develop a B2B travel booking platform for an established travel business.

This role combines systems management, travel product administration, supplier relationships and agent support. It would suit someone with hands-on experience managing travel booking platforms, a strong understanding of African travel products and pricing, and the confidence to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate product information across the platform, including properties, flights, activities and transfers.
  • Load and check rates, content, images, specials and promotions, ensuring these display correctly on quotes and itineraries.
  • Manage the onboarding of new supplier partners, including rate agreements, contracts and property information.
  • Carry out system checks, troubleshoot issues and coordinate with developers to resolve faults.
  • Assist with testing, documenting and rolling out new system features and updates.
  • Support live availability and API integrations, following up with partners where required.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to keep product content accurate and up to date.
  • Train and onboard new and existing agents, providing ongoing system support and communicating product updates.
  • Contribute to platform development, revenue opportunities, promotional strategies and improvements to processes.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures.
  • Provide backup itinerary and booking support when required.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience building and managing a travel booking, itinerary or reservations platform.
  • Relevant travel industry experience, with a sound understanding of DMC and tour operator operations.
  • Knowledge of the Southern and East African safari markets.
  • Strong understanding of nett and rack rates, STO agreements, commission structures, mark-ups and margins.
  • Experience managing travel products, supplier relationships and online content.
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly when working with rates, data and promotions.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow tasks through to completion.
  • Confident communication and training skills.
  • Experience with CRM systems, payment tools and API or live availability integrations.
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Based in Cape Town and available to travel occasionally to Franschhoek.
  • This is an excellent opportunity for a systems-minded travel professional who enjoys improving processes, maintaining product accuracy and contributing to the growth of a travel platform.
