Are you an experienced MSP technical leader who still enjoys getting involved in complex technical challenges?

Join an established and growing managed services and cybersecurity business as its Technical Services Lead, taking ownership of technical standards, escalations and engineering capability across a diverse client base.

This is not a management-only position. You will remain close to the technology while setting technical direction, mentoring engineers and helping customers make informed decisions across Microsoft cloud, networking and cybersecurity.

The Opportunity

Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will act as a technical authority across the business and support a combination of local and offshore engineers.

The role is approximately 50% hands-on technical work and 50% leadership, giving you the opportunity to solve complex problems while improving the systems, standards and people behind the service.

You will:

• Lead complex Level 3 escalations across Microsoft cloud, infrastructure, networking and cybersecurity.
• Set technical standards and provide architectural direction across multiple client environments.
• Mentor engineers and develop capability across local and Manila-based team members.
• Review and improve Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Defender and Azure environments.
• Guide networking solutions involving FortiGate, Meraki, UniFi, VLANs and VPNs.
• Support Essential Eight uplift, ISO 27001 alignment and wider cybersecurity improvement programs.
• Contribute to pre-sales discovery, solution design, scoping, estimates and statements of work.
• Present technical recommendations, security findings and risks clearly to senior client stakeholders.
• Improve documentation, service processes, automation and technical governance.
• Support project delivery, major incidents and occasional after-hours cutovers.
  
  

About You

You are likely an experienced Technical Services Lead, Technical Services Manager, Managed Services Manager, Technical Consultant, Solutions Architect or senior Level 3 Engineer ready to take on broader leadership responsibility.

To succeed, you will bring:

• Strong experience working for an MSP or managed technology services provider.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Conditional Access and Defender.
• Broad infrastructure knowledge across Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualisation and cloud services.
• Solid networking experience involving firewalls, switching, VLANs, VPNs and multi-site environments.
• Exposure to FortiGate, Meraki or UniFi technologies.
• An understanding of Essential Eight, ISO 27001 or comparable cybersecurity frameworks.
• Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical direction.
• Confidence handling complex escalations and major client incidents.
• Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Exposure to pre-sales, solution design, estimates, proposals or statements of work.
• A practical approach to documentation, standardisation, automation and continuous improvement.

PowerShell, Python, AI-enabled automation, HaloPSA or NinjaOne experience would be advantageous.
