We have an ambitious goal of achieving good welfare for all equines, primarily through three avenues: safety net programs, increasing adoption, and supporting response to cruelty and disaster and equine policy work. The ASPCA Right Horse (ARH) program is a close network of adoption and industry partners who collaborate to increase adoption. Equine Welfare also operates the Equine Transition and Adoption Center (ETAC) in Oklahoma, which develops, tests, and disseminates best practices for safety net/open admission programs, transitions undersocialized equines, and marketing/placing horses who traditionally take longer to find homes.
