We are currently seeking a Travel Specialist - Japan to serve as the primary point of contact for our expanding global network of agents who book travel experiences to Japan. In this role, you will be responsible for creating quotations, liaising with agents to develop customized trip plans, following up on previous requests, and handling reservations to ensure a seamless travel experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Design Tailor-Made Itineraries:

· Curate fully customized, high-end travel experiences for individual clients or small groups, incorporating Japan’s most exclusive cultural, culinary, historical, and natural offerings. Each itinerary should reflect an in-depth understanding of the destination and a commitment to excellence.

Client Consultation (B2B Focus):

· Act as the primary point of contact for B2B clients, understanding their business needs, client profiles, and preferences. Provide expert destination advice, prompt responses to inquiries, and creative travel solutions that align with brand expectations.

Supplier Coordination:

· Build and maintain strong relationships with top-tier local suppliers, guides, and luxury accommodations in Japan. Secure exclusive access, preferential rates, and ensure all arrangements meet the highest standards of service and quality.

Sales Performance:

· Drive sales growth by converting inquiries into bookings, maximizing upselling opportunities, and consistently achieving or exceeding individual and team sales targets.

Market Intelligence:

· Monitor trends, new openings, and innovations within Japan’s luxury travel market. Leverage insights to update offerings, anticipate client demands, and maintain a competitive edge.

Quality Assurance:

· Oversee the end-to-end execution of travel itineraries. Monitor service delivery, proactively resolve issues as they arise, and conduct post-travel debriefs to ensure client satisfaction and continuous improvement.

Cross Departmental Collaboration:

· Work closely with sales, product, and marketing teams to refine travel products, develop compelling proposals, and support B2B partner relationships. Contribute to content creation, training, and internal knowledge sharing to enhance team performance.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of travel destinations and attractions in “Japan” will be preferrable, with a focus on delivering personalized travel experience.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role within the travel industry, with a proven track record of providing exceptional service and building client relationships.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with agents, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
• Collaborative mindset with a willingness to work as part of a team and support colleagues across departments.
• Proficiency in travel booking systems and software applications.
