Position Summary:
OptimizeRx is seeking an experienced, data-driven Vice President of Demand Generation to lead and optimize our B2B marketing programs, building a more consistent, scalable, and measurable engine for qualified pipeline growth.
Working closely with the SVP of Marketing and CMO, this leader will help shape the overall marketing strategy, then take ownership of translating strategic priorities into a high-performing demand generation program. The VP will be accountable for establishing meaningful KPIs, improving marketing's contribution to pipeline, and continuously refining the programs, processes, and investments that drive results.
This role oversees a small, experienced team responsible for integrated campaigns, audience segmentation, digital media, social media, website marketing, and marketing operations. Success requires a leader who can connect strategy with execution, turn performance data into actionable insights, and develop a team that consistently delivers against shared business objectives.
The ideal candidate brings a proven track record in B2B demand generation, deep expertise in marketing analytics and automation, and the judgment to balance strategic leadership with hands-on operational knowledge. Experience with leveraging AI tool and automations to drive efficiencies, personalization, and optimizations a significant plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Demand Generation Strategy & Leadership
- Partner with the SVP of Marketing and CMO to develop an integrated demand generation strategy aligned with company growth objectives, commercial priorities, and product go-to-market plans.
- Lead the execution of that strategy, establishing clear priorities, performance targets, resource requirements, and accountability across the demand generation function.
- Drive consistent, qualified pipeline generation through coordinated programs spanning paid, owned, and organic channels.
- Oversee audience segmentation, account-based marketing, and engagement strategies targeting priority pharmaceutical manufacturers, healthcare agencies, and other key customer segments.
- Lead quarterly and annual demand generation planning, continuously adjusting priorities and investments based on performance, business needs, and market opportunities.
Performance Management, Analytics & Optimization
- Establish and own a comprehensive demand generation measurement framework, with primary accountability for marketing-sourced pipeline, opportunity value, and funnel conversion performance.
- Define meaningful KPIs and performance targets across the buyer journey, connecting campaign engagement and qualified lead generation to downstream business outcomes.
- Develop consistent reporting, dashboards, and attribution practices that provide clear visibility into marketing effectiveness and pipeline contribution.
- Analyze program and channel performance to identify opportunities to improve lead quality, conversion rates, marketing efficiency, and return on investment.
- Maintain a disciplined approach to testing and optimization, using performance insights to refine audience targeting, channel investments, campaign strategies, and lead nurturing.
- Present performance results, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership, translating complex marketing data into clear business decisions.
- Own and maintain a central KPI dashboard for company executives, collaborating with departments heads and executive leadership to define metrics and identify data sources.
Marketing Operations & Lead Lifecycle Management
- Own the strategy for marketing lead management and lifecycle optimization, ensuring prospects move efficiently from initial engagement through qualification, nurturing, and sales handoff.
- Collaborate closely with Business Development and Sales leadership to establish shared lead definitions, qualification criteria, service expectations, and conversion targets.
- Develop feedback mechanisms that connect marketing performance with lead quality, sales activity, and opportunity creation, leveraging AI tools or automations where possible to drive optimizations.
- Guide the ongoing optimization of HubSpot, marketing automation, CRM integration, lead scoring, segmentation, and attribution capabilities.
- Identify gaps in marketing processes, data quality, and technology utilization, implementing improvements that increase operational efficiency and reporting reliability, with an eye on reducing manual processes.
- Ensure marketing systems and workflows support scalable, measurable, and increasingly automated demand generation programs.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead, coach, and develop a team responsible for integrated campaigns and media, social media, website marketing, and marketing operations.
- Establish clear responsibilities, performance expectations, and development priorities that empower team members to execute effectively and independently.
- Provide strategic direction and performance oversight while remaining sufficiently engaged in campaign and operational details to identify challenges, guide decisions, and drive improvements.
- Partner with Product, Sales, Marketing Leadership and other internal stakeholders to translate company positioning, product launches, and thought leadership into effective demand generation programs.
- Oversee relevant agencies, vendors, and technology partners, ensuring accountability for performance, quality, and efficient resource utilization.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive B2B marketing experience, including significant leadership responsibility for demand generation, marketing performance, and pipeline development.
- Demonstrated success building, leading, or substantially improving a B2B demand generation function with measurable contributions to qualified pipeline and business growth.
- Strong analytical capabilities, with proven expertise in marketing measurement, attribution, funnel analysis, conversion optimization, and ROI evaluation.
- Deep working knowledge of HubSpot or comparable CRM and marketing automation platforms, including lead scoring, nurturing, segmentation, reporting, and workflow optimization.
- Experience overseeing integrated, multi-channel demand generation programs, including paid media, account-based marketing, email, digital campaigns, and website conversion strategies.
- Proven ability to establish performance targets, manage budgets, evaluate marketing investments, and make data-driven strategic decisions.
- Experience leading and developing small, high-performing teams, with the ability to provide both strategic direction and informed operational guidance.
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills, particularly in aligning Marketing, Business Development, and Sales around shared objectives and measurable outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly present performance insights and strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders.
- Resourceful, commercially minded, and comfortable operating in a lean, fast-moving organization.
- Experience in healthcare, life sciences, healthcare technology, or another complex B2B industry preferred.
