Role Overview

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Volunteer Graphic Designer to support the organisation's branding, communications, and project initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing visually compelling designs that effectively communicate EDMI's projects, events, workshops, and impact to stakeholders.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while contributing to projects that support the growth of Nigeria's manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Design graphics and visual content for presentations, reports, social media campaigns, marketing materials, and promotional activities.
• Create engaging infographics, flyers, banners, and digital assets that effectively communicate technical concepts and project outcomes.
• Develop visually appealing presentation decks for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure all visual materials align with EDMI's branding guidelines and communication standards.
• Collaborate with project teams to conceptualise creative campaigns, workshops, events, and outreach initiatives.
• Revise and improve designs based on stakeholder feedback and project requirements.
• Support the communications team in maintaining a consistent visual identity across all platforms.
• Organise and maintain design assets for future use and reference.

Qualifications and Skills

Required:

• Proficiency in Canva (mandatory).
• Strong portfolio showcasing graphic design work, including social media content, presentations, flyers, and infographics.
• Good understanding of design principles, typography, layout, and visual storytelling.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent time-management and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet agreed deadlines.

Preferred:

• Experience supporting non-profit, educational, manufacturing, or development-focused initiatives.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is an added advantage.
• Basic understanding of branding and digital marketing principles.
