About the role
The Accounts Receivable Specialist owns the receivables cycle from invoice to cash for a freight company serving about 900 business customers across the US. The role is accountable for billing shipments, applying payments, collecting overdue balances and resolving customer disputes, short-pays and deductions. It also produces the aging, days sales outstanding and month-end reconciliation reporting. The role partners with customers, the operations team and the credit manager.
Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, or BSBA majoring in Accounting.
At least 4 years of accounts receivable work for US companies, including collections.
Hands-on NetSuite experience in invoicing and cash application.
Has resolved customer disputes and deductions, not only logged them.
Clear spoken and written English for calls and emails with US customers.
A quiet home workspace with stable internet (at least 50 Mbps) and a backup connection.
Preferred qualifications
Freight, logistics or transportation billing experience.
Billtrust or HighRadius.
Advanced Excel (pivot tables, XLOOKUP).
