Backend Engineer

About the Role

Join an engineering team building AI-powered backend systems that reduce administrative work in healthcare and help patients access care sooner. You will develop infrastructure for customer onboarding and support secure, reliable processing of clinical information.

What You'll Do

• Architect and deploy backend systems that process high-volume data through APIs.

• Build reliable, secure agentic infrastructure for clinical information.

• Shape product iterations by integrating direct customer feedback.

• Own critical backend infrastructure and guide its technical evolution.

• Scale systems to support customer onboarding and company growth.

What We're Looking For

• 0-1 years of professional backend software development experience.

• Proficiency in Python and experience with at least one other major programming language.

• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform.

• An understanding of prompt engineering.

• A strong record of meaningful contributions on GitHub.

• Currently employed at an established company, with an interest in building impactful healthcare products.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range: $120,000 to $250,000 USD. Visa sponsorship is available.

Location

On-site, five days per week in Los Angeles, California.
