Backend Engineer

About the Role

Join a small engineering team building AI-powered backend systems for healthcare operations. You will help develop infrastructure that streamlines customer onboarding and processes clinical information securely and reliably.

What You'll Do

• Architect and deploy backend systems that process high-volume data through APIs.

• Shape product iterations by incorporating direct customer feedback.

• Build secure, reliable infrastructure for AI agents handling clinical information.

• Own critical backend systems and guide their technical evolution.

• Scale architecture to support customer onboarding and business growth.

What We're Looking For

• 0 to 1 years of professional backend development experience, or 5 or more years in software or systems engineering with production software experience.

• Proficiency in Python and experience with at least one other major programming language.

• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform.

• An understanding of prompt engineering.

• A strong GitHub profile with active, meaningful contributions.

• Currently employed at an established company, and interested in building products that can improve healthcare.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $120,000 to $250,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
