This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and knowledgeable registered nurse to provide high ‑ quality, evidence ‑ based nursing care to patients with urological conditions. The post holder will utilise specialist theoretical and practical knowledge to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised patient care, ensuring a person ‑ centred approach across the urology pathway.
Working with a degree of autonomy, the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) will provide expert clinical advice and support to patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team, contributing to safe, effective, and timely care.
The role includes supporting clinical leadership within the urology service, contributing to service delivery, quality improvement, and patient education. The post holder will work collaboratively with medical, nursing, and allied health professionals, and will support the education and development of staff through specialist teaching and guidance.
The Urology CNS will consistently demonstrate the Health Board’s values, promoting professionalism, compassion, and excellence in all aspects of practice.
You will work with an established and supportive nursing team, within the outpatient’s area in Glangwili Hospital. This role is perfect for someone with an interest in urology and keen to explore the role of the CNS.
Main duties of the job
The Urology Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) will provide expert, patient-centred care to individuals undergoing investigation, treatment and follow-up for urological conditions, including urological cancers. The post holder will act as a key worker, delivering holistic needs assessments, clinical advice, support and care coordination throughout the patient pathway.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
