About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Combustion Service Engineer to lead field-based servicing, commissioning, and technical management of high-capacity industrial combustion burners, steam boiler systems, and automated burner management controls. In this specialized engineering position, you will work with leading international burner and boiler brands, perform flue gas analysis, optimize burner efficiency, and ensure enterprise compliance with non-domestic gas regulations.

Responsibilities

• Industrial Combustion Servicing: Execute technical servicing, combustion tuning, and overhauls on high-capacity industrial burners (including systems by Nu-Way, GP, Oilon, Riello, Autoflame, and LAMTEC).
• Steam Boiler System Maintenance: Maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot industrial steam boilers, pressure controls, and associated water treatment/steam plant equipment (e.g., Cochran, Byworth, ICI Caldaie).
• Combustion Efficiency & Tuning: Conduct flue gas analysis, fuel-air ratio adjustments, and burner management system programming to optimize fuel efficiency and emissions.
• Fault Diagnosis & Electrical Controls: Troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical control circuits, flame safeguard controls, modulators, and gas trains.
• Technical Documentation: Issue comprehensive service reports, combustion test certificates, and statutory pressure inspection documents.

Requirements

• Educational Qualifications: HNC/HND in Engineering (or recognized equivalent), Business Administration, Marketing, or Finance / Management Accounting.
• Field Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent, relevant field experience in industrial combustion, burner servicing, and gas principles.
• Home Country Certifications: Dual mandatory requirement of a National Steam Boiler Operator Certificate (or equivalent) AND a National Natural Gas Heating & Appliance Service Certificate (or equivalent).
• Named Equipment Exposure: Hands-on experience with equipment from recognized manufacturers such as Nu-Way, GP, Oilon, Autoflame, LAMTEC, Cochran, Byworth, ICI Caldaie, or Riello.
• Desirable Credentials: Engineer-level gas installation qualifications, electrical installer credentials, or internal gas piping certifications.
• Language & Visa Eligibility: English proficiency at CEFR B2 level across reading, writing, speaking, and listening (SELT IELTS for UKVI or Ecctis degree verification). Eligible for UK Skilled Worker visa sponsorship and relocation.
• Driving License: Valid, full driving license in home country.
