Role Overview
The successful candidate will work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical environment supported by experienced consultants, nurses, allied health professionals and modern diagnostic, renal replacement and treatment infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic kidney diseases, including glomerular, tubulointerstitial and hereditary renal disorders
- Manage patients with chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, electrolyte and acid-base disorders, hypertension and related renal complications
- Provide nephrology care for patients requiring haemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and other renal replacement therapies according to scope and facility resources
- Evaluate and manage patients before and after renal transplantation and coordinate care with transplant teams where applicable
- Perform or supervise nephrology procedures such as temporary dialysis catheter placement and renal biopsy according to training, privileges and facility protocols
- Collaborate with cardiology, endocrinology, urology, vascular surgery, critical care and other specialties for complex patients
- Provide outpatient consultations, inpatient care, follow-up and long-term renal disease management
- Counsel patients regarding renal disease progression, dialysis options, transplantation, nutrition, medication safety and lifestyle modification
- Participate in clinical audits, multidisciplinary meetings, quality improvement, infection prevention and patient safety initiatives

- American Board of Internal Medicine - Nephrology
- UK CCT / MRCP with recognised Nephrology training
- European Board / national specialist certification in Nephrology
- Royal College Certification (Canada)
- Australian FRACP
- Arab Board
- DM / DNB / FCPS or equivalent recognised specialist qualification
