The Opportunity

We are working closely with a leading international law firm in Dubai that is seeking to appoint a talented Junior Associate to its highly regarded Emerging Companies & Venture Capital (ECVC) practice.

This represents an excellent opportunity for an ambitious junior lawyer to develop specialist expertise within the region's rapidly expanding venture capital and technology ecosystem, while gaining exposure to high-quality international transactional work.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will support the team across a broad range of corporate and investment transactions, including:

• Venture Capital & Emerging Companies: Advising startups, founders, emerging companies and institutional investors on early-stage and growth-stage financings, including seed, Series A and later-stage investment rounds.
• Mergers & Acquisitions: Assisting on domestic and cross-border acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures and strategic corporate transactions.
• Private Equity & Growth Equity: Supporting investments into high-growth businesses, including minority investments, growth capital transactions and exits.
• Corporate Advisory: Advising on shareholder arrangements, corporate governance, restructurings and general corporate matters.
• Transaction Execution: Assisting with legal due diligence, drafting and negotiating transaction documents, managing closing processes and coordinating with local and international counsel.
• Client Engagement: Working directly with partners and senior lawyers while developing relationships with entrepreneurs, investment funds, corporate clients and other stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience within a reputable international, regional or leading domestic law firm.
• A strong foundation in corporate transactional work, ideally including venture capital, M&A, private equity or investment transactions.
• An interest in developing a specialist practice advising emerging companies, founders and venture capital investors.
• Strong drafting, analytical and commercial skills, with the ability to work on complex, multi-jurisdictional matters.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, commercially minded approach.
• Arabic language capabilities are highly desirable, particularly alongside strong professional English.
