To do that, we're closing the data gap that exists in wearables today, gut health and nutrition.

Suna is a wellness wearable for your gut. It listens to your gut around the clock, through sound, and turns what it hears into something you can read every morning. Think of it as the Fitbit for your gut and nutrition. On top of it sits the Oracle, a personal health agent. It joins what the patch hears to the context of your life, what you ate, your calendar, the weather, your email, and talks to you where you already are, on WhatsApp or iMessage. We are a small founding team in London and San Francisco, and we build the device, the models and the app ourselves.

The role

You own the code that lives on the device itself. Reading the body around the clock, on a tiny battery, never losing a night of data.

You may own

Firmware: sensor drivers, on-device data pipeline, power management, FOTA.

BLE that syncs reliably in the real world.

Every hour of battery life out of the hardware without dropping a sample.

You'll fit if

You have shipped embedded code on constrained, battery-powered hardware and lived with the consequences.

Devices in the field, soldering-iron side projects and open source drivers count more than a CV.

Nice to have

Took a consumer device through manufacturing

Time at a wearable or in IoT

How we work

Full-time, in person, at our San Francisco office. This role is San Francisco only.

Salary plus equity.

We work a lot (including weekends) and it will never be a strict 9-to-5.

This is not for you if

- No prior interest in health and health tech.

- You are high maintenance.

- You hop jobs. It is a red flag for us.

- You chase big names and vanity metrics over the mission.

- You want a strict 9-to-5. This will never be that.
